About the Role

At Ocean to Earth Recruitment, we connect purpose-driven professionals with forward-thinking organisations shaping a more sustainable future. We’re proud to be working with a leading independent consultancy at the intersection of infrastructure, environment, and planning. They’re known for delivering high-impact projects that balance people, place, and planet—and they’re looking for a Stakeholder Engagement Lead to take their work to the next level.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior role with an organisation that’s both commercially successful and ethically grounded. They’re a certified B Corp, committed to creating positive outcomes not just for clients, but for communities and the wider world.

The Role

As Stakeholder Engagement Lead, you'll be responsible for shaping, growing, and leading the stakeholder engagement and consultation function across a range of nationally significant infrastructure and development projects.

This isn’t just about communication—it’s about influence, integrity, and impact. You’ll help steer projects from the earliest stages, ensuring that stakeholder voices are heard, complex interests are managed, and meaningful dialogue leads to better outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the stakeholder engagement and consultation service across the business

  • Identify and win new opportunities by building relationships with clients, partners, and project leads

  • Advise on engagement strategies for major projects and programmes, with particular focus on early-stage development

  • Develop internal capability by mentoring staff and shaping team structure, systems, and processes

  • Represent the consultancy at senior levels across both public and private sectors

  • Contribute to the wider business strategy and performance as a member of the senior leadership team

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone with a strong track record of working on complex, high-profile projects—ideally in infrastructure, planning, or environment—who understands both the political landscape and the human side of consultation.

You’ll need:

  • Significant senior-level experience in stakeholder engagement and public consultation

  • Experience working on nationally significant or large-scale infrastructure projects

  • Understanding of public sector structures, political processes, and relevant consultation legislation

  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing teams and nurturing talent

  • Commercial awareness, with the ability to contribute to bidding, budgeting, and project delivery

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working across diverse audiences

The Offer

  • Salary starting from £70,000 (depending on experience)

  • Generous benefits package

  • Opportunities for career progression in a values-led, growing consultancy

  • The chance to work on some of the UK’s most exciting infrastructure and environmental projects

How to Apply

If you're ready to make a meaningful move in your career—and play a central role in shaping infrastructure that serves communities and the environment—we’d love to hear from you.
