About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who are looking to take the next step in their career progression. Whether you are moving from junior to senior or from senior to principal, our client has a strong track record of developing highly skilled energy engineers and will fully support your growth. Training and accreditation opportunities are available, including becoming an ESOS Lead Assessor, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or pursuing other qualifications aligned with your career goals.

Role & Responsibilities

As part of the Energy Group, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across multiple sectors. Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality technical project work on time and within budget.

  • Supporting energy audits, net zero strategies, renewable energy feasibility studies, and mechanical/building services design.

  • Working with clients across sectors such as food & drink, pharmaceuticals, leisure, commercial-retail, and the public sector.

  • Depending on your experience and interests, opportunities are available to lead on:

    • Project management

    • Business development

    • Mentoring junior engineers

This role requires a valid UK driving licence and passport, as some travel for project delivery will be expected.

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Hold an Honours Degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (other disciplines such as Chemical, Process, Civil, or Environmental Engineering will also be considered).

  • Have demonstrable experience in one or more of the following areas:

    • Energy efficiency and low-carbon auditing.

    • Developing net zero carbon strategies.

    • Renewable energy feasibility and design.

    • Mechanical or building services engineering.

  • Possess strong interpersonal, analytical, and report-writing skills.

  • Are self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple sectors.
