About the Role

Ocean to Earth Recruitment is proud to be partnering with an award-winning environmental consultancy that’s redefining how ecological and arboricultural services are delivered. Our client combines innovation, collaboration, and purpose to create a workplace where people thrive and projects make a genuine difference.

About the Role

As an Arboricultural Consultant, you’ll be part of a dedicated team providing expert guidance on trees and development across a range of sectors – including residential, commercial, renewables, infrastructure and estate management.

Your work will span both field and office-based consultancy, from site surveys to delivering detailed planning advice and documentation. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your expertise alongside supportive colleagues who share your passion for trees, sustainability, and the built environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional arboricultural consultancy advice to clients and project teams.

  • Lead and contribute to the preparation of reports, including Arboricultural Impact Assessments, Method Statements, and TPO applications.

  • Advise on BS5837 guidance and arboricultural planning policy.

  • Participate in project meetings, presenting findings and design advice with confidence.

  • Undertake site surveys and manage fieldwork activities.

  • Work collaboratively with other environmental specialists to deliver integrated solutions.

Experience with AutoCAD and knowledge of the UK planning system as it relates to trees will be advantageous.

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have proven BS5837 consultancy experience.

  • Hold an academic qualification in arboriculture or a related environmental discipline.

  • Are a technical (or higher) member of the Arboricultural Association.

  • Understand the role of arboriculture within the UK planning system.

  • Enjoy building lasting relationships with clients and peers.

  • Are proactive, adaptable, and solution-driven.

  • Possess strong written, verbal, and organisational skills.

  • Align with values of care, collaboration, and honesty.

Why You’ll Love It Here

Our client’s culture is all about balance, belonging, and doing meaningful work. You’ll enjoy:

  • A 4-day working week with full-time pay (100% pay for 80% time).

  • Transparent and fair salary banding, reviewed annually.

  • A hybrid working approach with flexibility and autonomy.

  • A supportive, close-knit team that values personal growth, wellbeing, and community impact.

Diversity & Inclusion

Our client is committed to fostering a culture of care, belonging, opportunity, enjoyment and honesty. They celebrate diversity and provide equitable support to ensure everyone can thrive – making a positive impact on people, clients, and communities.
