About the Role

Ocean to Earth Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a forward-thinking, values-led environmental consultancy to appoint a Senior Landscape Architect to join their growing London team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a landscape planning professional who wants to play a meaningful role in addressing the biodiversity and climate crises, while shaping high-quality development across urban and rural environments.

The Opportunity

Working within a dynamic Landscape Planning team, you will take a leading role in shaping development proposals from early feasibility through to planning submission.

This is a varied and hands-on role offering exposure to a broad portfolio of projects. You’ll work collaboratively with in-house ecology, arboriculture and green infrastructure specialists, while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and contributing to Landscape and Visual Appraisals (LVA)

  • Preparing and managing Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA)

  • Supporting and contributing to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)

  • Undertaking feasibility studies and landscape constraints/opportunities analysis

  • Developing strategic landscape proposals and mitigation strategies

  • Supporting planning applications and associated documentation

  • Providing due diligence advice on landscape character and visual matters

  • Liaising with clients, statutory bodies and Local Planning Authorities (LPAs)

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to project bidding and early-stage strategy development.

About the Practice

Our client is a modern environmental consultancy that places innovation ahead of convention. They foster a collaborative and supportive culture where professional development is actively encouraged.

A standout benefit includes a 4-day working week at full pay — 80% time for 100% salary — reflecting their commitment to wellbeing and sustainable working practices.

They are deeply committed to making a positive impact — not only through project work, but also through community engagement and environmental leadership.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline

  • Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience

  • Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI), or actively working towards Chartership

  • Strong experience delivering LVIA and LVA reports

  • Experience contributing to EIA processes

  • Sound understanding of UK planning policy and legislative frameworks

  • Experience providing landscape and visual due diligence advice

  • Strong written, verbal and project management skills

  • Experience liaising with clients and statutory consultees

  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Experience supporting or appearing at Public Inquiry

  • Business development experience and ability to win work

  • Interest in mentoring junior team members

Why Apply?

  • Hybrid working model

  • 4-day working week at full pay

  • Strong career progression and mentoring support

  • Exposure to diverse, high-quality projects

  • Collaborative, values-driven culture

  • Competitive salary with London weighting
