We are working with a forward-thinking design studio that blends landscape architecture, civil engineering, and ecology to deliver fully integrated, nature-led solutions. Their mission is to design places that enhance biodiversity, strengthen connections between people and the environment, and respond meaningfully to the climate emergency.

As part of the team, you’ll bring strong design and technical expertise, alongside leadership skills to inspire junior colleagues and drive projects forward. You’ll report directly to the Associate Landscape Architect/Engineer and play a key role in shaping the future of the Studio.

🌟 What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll take ownership of both creative design and technical delivery, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard. Your responsibilities will include:

Studio Leadership

  • Leading and supporting project planning, resource management, and delivery.

  • Mentoring and developing junior team members through CPD and knowledge sharing.

  • Driving technical excellence and championing innovative design approaches.

  • Contributing to marketing campaigns, bid writing, and business development.

  • Representing the Studio at networking and client engagement events.

Project Delivery

  • Leading and coordinating multiple projects from concept through to delivery.

  • Producing creative, accurate, and coherent design outputs.

  • Managing budgets, timescales, and quality to meet client and Studio expectations.

  • Facilitating design reviews, lessons learned, and continuous improvement.

  • Ensuring compliance with Studio quality management systems.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Chartered Landscape Architect (CMLI) with 5+ years’ design experience.

  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to lead complex projects.

  • Confidence in financial and project management tools.

  • Skilled in software and design innovation, always seeking efficiencies and best practice.

  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to inspire colleagues and represent the Studio externally.

🌍 About the Studio

Their unique strength lies in combining landscape architecture, engineering, and ecology to create integrated, sustainable solutions—from public realm and heritage sites to educational campuses, visitor destinations, and residential developments.

They’re proud to be part of Landscape Architects Declare, committing their expertise to tackling the climate and biodiversity crises. With a strong culture of collaboration, creativity, and wellbeing, the studio supports staff through CPD, mentoring, and study trips—ensuring a workplace where professional growth is as valued as innovative design.

Recent projects include upgrading historic castle grounds to balance visitor experience with biodiversity, enhancing forest visitor centres with accessible and immersive landscapes, and designing urban courtyards that enrich both ecology and community life.
