Role Overview
Reporting within a studio led by respected design directors, this role offers hands-on leadership in delivering technically robust, creative solutions from conception to construction. You’ll elevate the studio’s technical standards while mentoring junior talent and driving innovation.
Studio & Leadership Responsibilities

Actively participate in weekly resourcing meetings.

Provide updates on project progress, resourcing, and delivery timelines.

Feed into planning and staffing decisions.

Contribute content for the studio’s marketing and social outreach.

Support bid processes with technical insight.

Champion all disciplines internally and externally.

Drive technical growth and efficiency across the team.

Lead CPD and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Uphold studio values, quality systems, and financial standards.
Project Delivery

Produce clear, creative, and accurate design information aligned with studio specifications.

Regularly use Causeway Flow or Microdrainage for drainage design.
-
Create technical drawings using AutoCAD.

Independently lead, coordinate, and deliver multiple projects on time and budget.

Mentor junior engineers and facilitate design review sessions.

Engage in project financial and quality performance monitoring.

Conduct QMS procedures as needed.
What You Bring
-
Chartered Engineer or actively working toward chartership (e.g., ICE).
-
3–5 years of drainage design experience, including foul and surface water systems.
-
Broader civil engineering knowledge—roads, levels, and pavement design.

Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and critical thinking skills.

Ability to drive software and technical efficiencies.
-
Experience or willingness to use quality and financial management systems.

A passion for nature-led, sustainable design.
