About the Role

Ocean to Earth Recruitment is partnering with a well-respected consultancy seeking a Principal or Senior Environmental Permitting Consultant to join their friendly, supportive team of experienced professionals. This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging projects across waste management and industrial sectors, with the chance to mentor colleagues and shape high-impact work.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing technical support across a wide range of Environmental Permitting services.

  • Applying your knowledge of Environmental Permitting, Pollution Prevention and Control, and Waste Management Licensing.

  • Reviewing environmental monitoring data, preparing reports, risk assessments, and management plans.

  • Overseeing project delivery and providing guidance to team members.

  • Liaising with operators, regulators, and local authorities to ensure compliance and successful project outcomes.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong experience in Environmental Permitting, including waste management and industrial activities (landfill, waste treatment, hazardous waste, recovery operations).

  • Proven ability to interpret environmental monitoring data and prepare technical reports.

  • Experience applying environmental legislation across a variety of activities.

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to mentor or supervise colleagues.

  • Relevant qualifications in a specialist discipline and full UK driving licence.

  • CIWM membership is desirable.
