About the Role

The Opportunity

Not every career move is about leaving a role you enjoy. Sometimes it's about finding an organisation where you can have greater influence, work on more meaningful projects and help shape the future of sustainability consultancy.

Ocean to Earth Recruitment is partnering with an established environmental consultancy seeking an experienced Sustainability Consultant to support the continued growth of its services across the Republic of Ireland.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing technical excellence with client relationships and wants the autonomy to help develop both projects and services within a supportive, forward-thinking business.

Whether you're already working at Principal level or you're an experienced Senior Consultant ready for your next challenge, this role offers genuine scope to make your mark.

The Company

Our client is an independent environmental and sustainability consultancy with an established reputation for delivering practical, commercially focused advice across a diverse range of sectors.

The business has built its success around technical quality, collaborative working and long-term client relationships. Sustainability is a growing area of investment, creating an opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to the development of services while remaining hands-on with interesting and varied project work.

You'll join a team that values trust, flexibility and professional expertise, where people are encouraged to take ownership of their work and continue developing throughout their careers.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a varied consultancy role combining technical delivery, project leadership and client engagement.

You'll be:

  • Delivering sustainability consultancy projects for organisations across the Republic of Ireland.

  • Managing projects from inception through to successful completion.

  • Working alongside environmental specialists on multidisciplinary commissions.

  • Building trusted relationships with clients and identifying opportunities to add value.

  • Supporting the continued development of sustainability services and contributing to business growth.

  • Sharing knowledge and mentoring colleagues where appropriate.

About You

You'll have a solid consultancy background within sustainability and enjoy working directly with clients to deliver practical environmental solutions.

You'll likely have experience of sustainability reporting, environmental performance, strategy development or carbon reduction, together with a good understanding of Irish and European environmental legislation.

Experience within sectors such as manufacturing, food production, tourism or supply chains would be beneficial, although we're equally interested in people with broader sustainability consultancy experience.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys collaborating with clients, spotting opportunities, solving problems and helping organisations achieve meaningful environmental outcomes.

What's on Offer

In return, you'll benefit from:

  • A competitive salary.

  • Hybrid and flexible working.

  • A diverse and interesting portfolio of sustainability projects.

  • Genuine opportunities to influence the growth of sustainability services.

  • Ongoing professional development and career progression.

  • A collaborative and supportive working culture.

  • An attractive benefits package.

Location & Flexibility

The role is based within the Republic of Ireland with hybrid working available.

Some travel across Ireland will be required, with occasional UK travel depending on project requirements.
