About the Role

At Ocean to Earth Recruitment, we’re proud to partner with one of the UK’s most forward-thinking environmental consultancies — a team driven by purpose, guided by values, and united in their commitment to making a measurable impact for people and planet.

This is a chance to join a practice that challenges convention, values creativity, and believes that meaningful work should never come at the cost of wellbeing. You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team where open conversation, laughter, and purpose-driven innovation are all part of everyday life.

Together, we’re not just growing trees — we’re growing futures. 🌳

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Senior Arboricultural Consultant, you’ll play a key role in shaping sustainable landscapes and delivering high-quality consultancy services that balance environmental and development needs. Your work will directly contribute to responsible land use and long-term ecological resilience.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage diverse arboricultural projects from inception through to delivery and client feedback.

  • Conduct BS5837 tree quality surveys and provide expert advice on complex planning and development schemes.

  • Produce Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Method Statements.

  • Prepare fee proposals, present findings to clients, and lead project discussions with confidence and clarity.

  • Carry out tree risk assessments and contribute to business development and team growth.

  • Mentor and guide junior team members to help them progress in their professional journey.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone with a passion for both people and the planet — a consultant who’s as confident among clients as they are in the canopy.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Proven experience delivering BS5837 consultancy services.

  • A relevant academic qualification in arboriculture or a related environmental discipline.

  • Technical (or higher) membership with the Arboricultural Association.

  • Strong communication, organisational, and project management skills.

  • Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced colleagues.

  • A commitment to sustainability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

  • A full UK driving licence.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • 4-day working week – 100% pay, 80% time, because wellbeing fuels great work.

  • Transparent and fair pay structure, reviewed annually.

  • Hybrid and flexible working options.

  • A culture built on care, inclusion, and purpose, where your voice makes a difference.

  • The chance to contribute to projects that directly support climate-positive growth.
