About the Role

Ocean to Earth Recruitment is proud to be working with an innovative and fast-growing ecological consultancy seeking a Project Support / Project Coordinator to help drive forward their exciting project pipeline. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with a strong national presence, supporting project delivery across a wide spectrum of industries and ecological scopes — from housing developments and biodiversity net gain assessments to large-scale transport infrastructure and garden villages.

You'll be a vital part of a multidisciplinary team of over 100 staff, including 80+ ecologists, and help shape how environmental projects are delivered from initial setup to successful completion.

Who You Are:
You’re an adaptable and organised individual with strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being part of a supportive, mission-led team. You're confident interacting with senior stakeholders and clients, and you're passionate about both operational excellence and environmental progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the setup of new projects by coordinating documentation, resourcing, and scheduling.

  • Work alongside project managers and technical leads to ensure smooth project progression.

  • Monitor deadlines and alert the wider team to potential delays.

  • Keep project files and documentation organised and up to date.

  • Facilitate internal and external communications across teams and stakeholders.

  • Prepare progress updates, reports, and presentations.

  • Identify risks early and support mitigation strategies.

  • Assist with logistics for fieldwork, site visits, and meetings.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project workflows and systems.

Skills & Experience:
✅ Strong organisational and administrative skills
✅ Client-focused mindset with excellent communication abilities
✅ Familiarity with project management methodologies (Waterfall & Agile)
✅ Confident with MS Office Suite (especially Excel and Word)
✅ Ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team
✅ Interest in environmental consultancy or ecological work

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in project support or coordination

  • Awareness of ecological fieldwork, data analysis, or environmental regulations

  • Understanding of ecological survey methods (training can be provided)

What Our Client Offers:
💼 A rewarding package designed to support your work-life balance and career growth:

  • Private medical insurance (with no excess) for you and dependants

  • 26 days annual leave (including a birthday leave day + 3 days at Christmas)

  • 2 CSR days per year for voluntary work

  • Enhanced parental leave policies (maternity and paternity)

  • £500 “Baby Bonus” for new parents

  • Overtime pay or TOIL for extra hours worked

  • Quarterly prize draws & spot bonuses

  • Flexible hours & hybrid working

  • Contributory pension scheme

  • Laptop, phone, PPE & equipment provided

  • Training budget for external development & CPD

  • Use of fleet vehicles or car allowance (grade dependent)

  • Employee referral bonuses

  • Death in service cover (opt-in)

  • Vibrant company culture with regular team socials and annual company-wide events
