The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and driven Principal Consultant to join the growing EIA Property team. This role is ideal for someone looking to contribute to complex, exciting urban development schemes while taking on a leadership position within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The successful candidate will:

Act as EIA Project Manager across a range of commercial and residential developments

Coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Environmental Statement (ES) reviews

Lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure high-quality project delivery

Provide expert client liaison, project budgeting, and fee proposal development

Support business development and mentor junior colleagues

Engage with planning authorities and development frameworks
Key Requirements:

7+ years of experience in environmental consultancy, with client-facing project delivery

Proven ability to manage EIAs for major urban regeneration, residential, and mixed-use developments

Strong understanding of UK planning regulations, EIA legislation, and current best practices

Experience with ES reviews and working within local authority frameworks

Demonstrated success in bid writing and fee proposal preparation

Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster strong client relationships

A relevant degree in environmental sciences or a related field

Passion for sustainability, attention to detail, and a proactive, collaborative mindset
