This role is particularly suited to someone who values technical autonomy—you will be trusted to lead, shape, and deliver projects with a high degree of independence, while contributing strategically to the wider direction of the team.

You will play a key role within the management structure, supporting continued growth across the UK and working on a diverse portfolio of complex engineering projects.

The Role

You will take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery, combining hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities.

Key aspects include:

  • Leading the technical delivery of civil engineering projects, including drainage, highways, and infrastructure schemes

  • Acting as a client-facing lead, managing relationships and contributing to bids, tenders, and business development

  • Identifying and developing opportunities across sectors such as energy, defence, and manufacturing

  • Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions

  • Mentoring and supporting the development of junior engineers, helping to build a high-performing team

What Sets This Role Apart

  • A genuine emphasis on technical ownership and autonomy

  • The opportunity to influence both project direction and team growth

  • Exposure to a broad and evolving project portfolio across multiple sectors

  • Flexibility in how and where you work

About You

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (BEng, MEng, MSc or equivalent)

  • Chartered Member of the ICE (or actively working towards chartership)

  • Strong technical background with the ability to lead complex projects independently

  • Confident communicator with experience in client engagement and stakeholder management

  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify new opportunities

Additional Information

  • Travel across the UK (and occasionally overseas) may be required

  • Full UK driving licence is desirable

  • Right to work in the UK is essential

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary

  • Hybrid / flexible working model

  • Generous annual leave allowance

  • Volunteer days

  • Health cash plan and Employee Assistance Programme

  • Salary sacrifice schemes
