The Role
We are seeking an experienced Principal Ecologist to join the team based near Exeter, overlooking the beautiful River Clyst estuary. The successful candidate will lead complex ecological projects, mentor and inspire a talented team of ecologists, and strengthen relationships with clients and partners across a diverse range of projects.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a supportive, values-led environment and is ready to contribute to both business growth and positive environmental outcomes.

What You’ll Need
-
A relevant degree in ecology or related discipline
-
Proven professional experience (Senior level or above)

Strong communication and collaboration skills
-
Confidence preparing technical reports (EcIA, HRA, BNG, ES chapters, EMPs, etc.)

Commercial awareness and an interest in business development

Full CIEEM membership (Chartered status desirable)

Full UK driving licence
