About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior / Project Landscape Architect with a strong background in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA). This role involves leading LVIA studies, contributing to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), and providing strategic landscape planning advice to a diverse range of clients, including leading housebuilders, strategic land companies, and institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive LVIA studies to assess the potential landscape and visual effects of proposed developments.

  • Prepare detailed LVIA chapters for EIA submissions, identifying site characteristics, visibility, and key views.

  • Provide landscape planning advice during the early stages of projects, identifying opportunities and constraints.

  • Review and interpret landscape and design policies in development plans to inform project decisions.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and sustainable development solutions.

  • Engage with stakeholders, including local authorities and planning bodies, to support planning applications and appeals.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) or equivalent professional qualification.

  • Proven experience in LVIA and landscape planning within the UK planning system.

  • Strong knowledge of landscape and design policies, particularly in relation to EIA and planning applications.

  • Proficiency in relevant software, including AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to clients and stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
