About the Role

Deliver technically complex environmental projects with a consultancy that values expertise, collaboration and long-term career growth.

Ocean to Earth Recruitment is supporting a respected independent environmental consultancy in the search for Hydrogeologist and Geologist Consultants to join their specialist technical team.

This is an opportunity to become part of a highly experienced consultancy delivering challenging projects across the minerals, waste and environmental sectors throughout the UK. The business has built a strong reputation over several decades for providing practical, scientifically robust environmental solutions, combining technical excellence with a collaborative and supportive culture.

You’ll work alongside experienced hydrogeologists, planners and environmental specialists on projects that genuinely require analytical thinking, problem solving and technical input from day one.

Whether your strengths are groundwater assessment, site investigations, quantitative risk assessment or hydrogeological modelling, this role offers the chance to deepen your expertise while contributing to meaningful environmental and infrastructure projects.

The Role

You will support a broad range of hydrogeological and geological services across environmental, waste and infrastructure developments, contributing to both office and site-based project work.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing desk studies, technical reports and quantitative risk assessments
• Supporting groundwater and hydrogeological assessment projects
• Developing hydrogeological models and remediation strategies
• Supervising site investigations and coordinating contractors and field teams
• Liaising with clients, regulators and technical stakeholders
• Supporting project delivery from initial assessment through to completion
• Working closely with multidisciplinary environmental teams on technically demanding schemes

About You

You may already be working within environmental consultancy, engineering geology or hydrogeology and looking for a role where your technical contribution is genuinely valued.

We’re interested in speaking with candidates who have:

• Experience within hydrogeology, geology or environmental assessment
• Knowledge of groundwater assessment and environmental legislation
• Strong analytical and report writing skills
• Experience using hydrogeological modelling software
• Confidence supporting both office and field-based activities
• A degree, ideally MSc, in Geology, Hydrogeology or a related discipline
• Membership of a relevant professional body, or interest in working towards chartership
• A proactive and adaptable approach to technical problem solving
• Full UK driving licence

Why Join?

• Work on technically varied and high-profile environmental projects
• Collaborate with highly experienced technical specialists
• Support towards chartership and ongoing professional development
• Inclusive and collaborative working culture
• Genuine long-term progression opportunities
• Opportunity to broaden your technical expertise across multiple sectors

At Ocean to Earth Recruitment, we work with professionals and organisations aligned around respect, integrity and growth, helping connect environmental specialists with opportunities where they can build meaningful and rewarding long-term careers.
