About the Role

At Ocean to Earth Recruitment, we’re proud to be working with a truly progressive environmental consultancy that’s redefining how people work, collaborate, and make a positive impact.

This is your opportunity to join as an Associate Landscape Architect and take a lead role in delivering high-quality landscape planning projects — all within a team that values innovation, culture, and balance.

🌍 Why this role stands out:

  • 4-day working week (on a full-time salary)

  • Genuinely supportive, open and people-first culture

  • Projects that span urban and rural environments

  • Collaborative in-house teams across ecology, GBI, and arboriculture

  • Flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to shape more than just landscapes

The Role

This is a varied and strategic position that will allow you to immerse yourself in both the delivery and leadership of impactful planning work.

You will:

  • Lead on LVA, LVIA, EIA and landscape strategy inputs for planning applications.

  • Drive projects from feasibility to delivery, ensuring quality, time and budget targets are met.

  • Work on a mix of rural and urban developments, often with a strong sustainability focus.

  • Collaborate with in-house specialists and external stakeholders to deliver well-rounded solutions.

  • Build long-term client relationships and contribute to business development.

  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal initiatives that shape the future of the practice.

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree in a relevant subject

  • 6+ years' experience in landscape planning

  • CMLI status (or working toward it)

  • Strong report writing, communication, and project leadership skills

  • Confidence delivering LVIAs, LVAs, EIAs and mitigation strategies

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams

  • A solid grasp of planning policy, landscape legislation, and due diligence

  • A full UK driving licence

Bonus if you also have:

  • Experience providing expert witness services

  • A passion for mentoring and supporting the growth of others

  • A track record of winning work and contributing to practice development

This consultancy doesn’t just talk about culture – they live it. Every week is designed for balance and wellbeing, with 80% of your time delivering 100% of your value. You’ll be surrounded by people who care about the work, each other, and making a difference.
