The Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join the Senior Management Team. Based near Exeter with stunning estuary views, you will:

  • Lead and deliver complex, high-profile ecological projects

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a talented team of ecologists

  • Build and strengthen relationships with clients and project teams across multiple sectors

  • Contribute to strategic growth and business development

This role is ideal for a senior ecologist with a consultancy background who thrives in a supportive, people-first environment and wants to play a key role in shaping a successful, employee-owned business.

What You’ll Need

  • Relevant degree in ecology or related discipline

  • Significant consultancy experience at senior levels

  • Proven team management and leadership experience

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Confidence preparing and reviewing technical reports (EcIAs, HRAs, BNG, ES chapters, EMPs)

  • Commercial awareness and aptitude for business development

  • Full CIEEM membership (Chartered status desirable)

  • Full UK driving licence
