About the Role
Ocean to Earth Recruitment is excited to be working with a well-established natural environment consultancy seeking Senior Arboricultural Consultants to support their growth across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful environmental work and help clients protect, restore, and enhance biodiversity in a rapidly evolving sector.
The Role
As a Senior Arboricultural Consultant, you'll work at the forefront of arboricultural practice—blending client and project management responsibilities with on-the-ground consultancy. You’ll be helping deliver practical, innovative solutions for a range of clients including local authorities, charities, utilities, and private landowners.
Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting BS5837, utility, and tree safety surveys using advanced GIS mapping tools.

Producing high-quality technical reports to support planning applications and infrastructure projects.

Leading on-site arboricultural supervision (Clerk of Works), audits, and protection measures.

Offering expert advice on tree-related issues and contributing to the scoping and costing of new projects.
You’ll be supported by experienced peers and a comprehensive training programme to help you transition into the role with confidence.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking individuals who combine technical expertise with a client-first mindset and a passion for the natural environment.
Essential:

A minimum NQF Level 4 qualification in Arboriculture, plus practical experience.

Confidence in client communication and professional report writing.

Strong adaptability, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with new technology.

Full UK driving licence.
Desirable (but not essential):

NQF Level 5 or 6 in Arboriculture or related discipline.

Lantra PTI Certificate.

Training in a recognised tree risk assessment method (e.g. VALID, QTRA, TRAQ).

CSCS card.

Membership of the Arboricultural Association or Institute of Chartered Foresters (subscription covered upon appointment).
