At Ocean to Earth Recruitment, we’re proud to be partnering with a highly respected independent environmental consultancy to recruit an experienced and driven Senior Landscape Planner (LVIA Specialist) ready to step into a leadership position.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone currently working at Principal Consultant level—or looking to grow into a Technical Director role—to lead and develop a well-established landscape planning service within a forward-thinking, multidisciplinary team.

🏞️ The Role
As a Landscape Planner (LVIA Specialist), you’ll play a lead role in delivering Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs) across a diverse range of development projects, including solar farms, wind energy, and low-carbon infrastructure.
You will collaborate closely with environmental impact assessment (EIA) professionals, landscape designers, and other technical specialists. In addition to technical delivery, you'll be responsible for developing client relationships, managing project teams, and contributing to business growth.
This is a key leadership opportunity for someone who is passionate about landscape planning and ready to shape a growing team within a mission-led consultancy.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and author LVIAs for both EIA and non-EIA development

Manage multi-disciplinary project teams and project delivery

Act as a key client contact, fostering strong relationships

Contribute to business development and service expansion

Promote sustainable and innovative approaches to landscape planning
👤 What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a technically skilled, commercially aware, and collaborative professional with a deep understanding of landscape planning and visual assessment.
Essential Experience & Attributes:

Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) or working towards this via the P2C route

Proven experience delivering LVIAs independently or as part of a team

Thorough knowledge of GLVIA 3 and related technical guidance

Understanding of the UK planning system and policy context

Confident in fieldwork, site photography, and data collection

Strong communication skills—written, visual and verbal
-
Proficiency in relevant software: Autodesk, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite
-
Full UK driving licence
-
Degree in Landscape Architecture or equivalent
