About the Role

If you're a Senior Civil Engineer ready to step up, or an established Principal Engineer looking for greater autonomy, more interesting projects and the opportunity to influence the future of a growing consultancy, we'd love to hear from you.

We're recruiting on behalf of a respected multidisciplinary consultancy that delivers projects making a real difference across renewable energy, infrastructure and development. This is a chance to join a collaborative team where your technical expertise is valued, your ideas are listened to and your career can continue to grow.

The Opportunity

As a Principal Civil Engineer, you'll lead the delivery of civil engineering projects across sectors including renewable energy, highways and drainage, working alongside planners, environmental specialists and fellow engineers to deliver integrated solutions.

You'll have the freedom to manage projects from concept through to completion, build long-term client relationships and mentor engineers as they develop their own careers.

For experienced Senior Engineers, this is an excellent opportunity to take the next step into a Principal role with the support and autonomy to succeed.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the design and delivery of civil engineering projects.

  • Managing projects involving highways, drainage and renewable energy infrastructure.

  • Building trusted relationships with clients and supporting new business opportunities.

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes.

  • Mentoring and developing junior engineers while helping shape a growing team.

About You

You'll have experience working within a consultancy environment and enjoy taking ownership of projects and client relationships.

We're particularly interested in hearing from engineers with experience in one or more of the following:

  • Renewable energy projects.

  • Highways design.

  • Drainage and infrastructure design.

You'll ideally be Chartered, or actively working towards Chartership, and be someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges while helping others develop.

Whether you're already operating at Principal level or are an ambitious Senior Engineer ready for your next move, we'd love to hear from you.

What's on Offer

  • Competitive salary and excellent benefits.

  • Flexible and hybrid working.

  • A varied pipeline of technically challenging projects.

  • Genuine opportunities to progress your career.

  • Supportive leadership and a collaborative working culture.

  • Professional development, training and Chartership support where required.

  • The chance to work on projects that contribute to the UK's infrastructure and renewable energy transition.

Location & Flexibility

Hybrid working is available, with flexibility around office and home working. Some travel to project sites and client meetings will be required.

Ready for Your Next Step?

If you're looking for a role where you'll have greater influence, more rewarding projects and the opportunity to continue developing your career, we'd love to have a confidential conversation.

Apply today by sending your CV to vicky@oceantoearth.co.uk, or get in touch for an informal discussion. Even if your CV isn't up to date, we'd be happy to chat.
