About the Role
Landscape Architecture | Multiple UK Locations | Hybrid
Ocean to Earth Recruitment is partnering with a forward-thinking, design-led environmental consultancy to appoint an experienced Green & Blue Infrastructure and Landscape Design Associate. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a Landscape Architect with a strong design ethos and a passion for nature-based solutions that deliver meaningful outcomes for both people and the environment.
This role offers the chance to lead landscape and green/blue infrastructure projects across a wide range of sectors and scales, working within highly collaborative, interdisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping resilient, multifunctional landscapes informed by evidence-led design, sustainability principles and climate-adaptive thinking.

The Role
As a Green & Blue Infrastructure and Landscape Design Associate, you will provide technical and strategic leadership across landscape design and GI projects, guiding schemes from early strategy through to delivery. You will work closely with internal specialists and external stakeholders to deliver integrated, high-quality design solutions.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading landscape architecture and green/blue infrastructure projects through all LI/RIBA design stages

Providing mentorship, technical guidance and leadership to landscape and GI team members

Overseeing project workflows, resourcing and financial performance, reporting to senior management

Producing and reviewing landscape masterplans, green/blue infrastructure strategies, and technical design packages

Developing innovative, holistic design responses in collaboration with ecology, planning and technical teams

Preparing clear, well-structured reports and design documentation

Undertaking site surveys and supporting projects through tender and construction phases

Engaging confidently with clients, consultants and stakeholders
About You
You will be a confident and experienced Landscape Architect with a strong design portfolio and a demonstrable interest in nature-based solutions and sustainable placemaking.
Essential experience and qualifications:

8+ years’ professional experience in landscape architecture

Postgraduate or diploma qualification in Landscape Architecture (or related field)

Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (or equivalent)

Proven experience leading landscape and green infrastructure teams

Strong knowledge of the UK planning system

Experience delivering projects through all design stages, from concept to technical delivery

Tender and site experience

Excellent spatial and graphic design skills

Confidence working within multidisciplinary design teams

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite (Revit advantageous)

Full UK driving licence

Full right to work in the UK
Desirable (but not essential):

Masterplanning or urban design experience

Familiarity with Building with Nature accreditation

Strong interest in planting design, biodiversity, and seasonal landscape character
Salary & Benefits

Salary: £52,000 – £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

4-day working week with full-time pay
