About the Role

Ocean to Earth Recruitment is working with a leading ecological consultancy that is looking for talented Graduate, Consultant and Senior ecologists to join their growing team in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a well-established company, working on diverse projects across various sectors.

As an Ecologist, you will contribute to a range of habitat and species surveys, report writing, project coordination, and assisting with tenders and fee estimates. With a strong national presence and a growing portfolio of projects, this is a fantastic time to join and shape your career in ecology.

The Role Includes:

  • Conducting habitat and species surveys.
  • Writing clear, concise reports.
  • Assisting with tenders, fee estimates, and project management.
  • Contributing to significant Biodiversity Net Gain assessments.
  • Working on a variety of projects, from small housing developments to major infrastructure schemes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 0-8 years of experience in a similar ecological role.
  • Specialism in at least one field skill area.
  • Working towards or holding a bat, GCN, or dormouse survey licence at Consultant and Senior level.
  • Experience coordinating surveys and managing projects at Consultant and Senior level.
  • Strong knowledge of UK/EU environmental legislation and planning policies.
  • Associate or Full CIEEM membership (or eligibility).
  • A relevant degree in Ecology or a related field.
  • Full UK driving licence.
