About the Role

The Opportunity

Not every role in ecology is about fieldwork.

Behind every successful ecological project is a team of people who keep things organised, communicate brilliantly and make sure opportunities don't slip through the net. If you're someone who enjoys bringing structure to a busy environment, building relationships and coordinating multiple priorities, this could be the perfect opportunity.

We're working with a well-established environmental consultancy looking for an Ecology Bid Administrator to become a key part of their growing ecology team. You'll be the person ensuring enquiries are handled professionally, quotations are delivered on time and technical specialists have everything they need to win exciting new projects.

It's a varied, fast-paced position where your organisation and attention to detail will have a genuine impact on the success of the business.

The Company

Our client is an established multidisciplinary environmental consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality ecological and environmental advice across the UK.

Their teams work on a diverse portfolio of projects, collaborating across disciplines to deliver practical, sustainable solutions for clients. They have built a supportive and flexible working culture where people are trusted to take ownership of their work, develop professionally and enjoy a healthy work-life balance.

As their ecology team continues to grow, they're looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively and takes pride in delivering an outstanding client experience.

What You'll Be Doing

This role is all about keeping the ecology team's bid and quotation process running smoothly.

You'll act as the first point of contact for new ecology enquiries, gathering the information needed to understand each client's requirements before coordinating with technical specialists to prepare accurate quotations and submissions.

Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Managing ecology enquiries from initial contact through to quotation submission.

  • Coordinating quotations across a range of ecological disciplines.

  • Liaising with clients to gather information and provide updates.

  • Working closely with ecologists, project managers and technical reviewers to meet deadlines.

  • Tracking enquiries and maintaining accurate internal records.

  • Supporting larger tenders and bid submissions when required.

  • Producing professional, well-presented quotations and ensuring submissions are delivered on time.

  • Helping the ecology team identify opportunities while maintaining an exceptional standard of client service.

No two days are quite the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and working with different people across a busy consultancy.

About You

You're naturally organised, proactive and enjoy keeping projects moving.

You communicate confidently with clients and colleagues alike and can balance multiple deadlines without losing sight of the finer details.

You may already have experience in bid administration, project coordination, business support or client services within consultancy, construction, engineering or the environmental sector.

An interest in ecology or environmental consultancy would certainly be beneficial, but just as important is your ability to build relationships, solve problems and bring order to busy workloads.

If you're someone who enjoys being at the heart of a team and making sure everything runs smoothly, you'll thrive in this role.

What's on Offer

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected environmental consultancy where your contribution will genuinely be valued.

In return, you'll benefit from:

  • Competitive salary.

  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

  • A supportive and collaborative team environment.

  • The opportunity to work alongside experienced ecological professionals.

  • Ongoing professional development and training.

  • Long-term career progression within a growing consultancy.

  • A comprehensive employee benefits package.

Location & Flexibility

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Warrington, with hybrid working and flexible arrangements available to support a healthy work-life balance.
