The Opportunity

We’re excited to offer an opportunity for an Ecological Consultant to join a leading terrestrial ecology team in the UK. Working across Leeds and Kenilworth, you’ll play a key role in delivering impactful ecological projects that make a real difference for biodiversity and sustainability.

You’ll enjoy a varied role that combines fieldwork, project coordination, and client collaboration — with travel and overnight stays during the survey season. If you’re driven by curiosity, purpose, and a love for the environment, this is your next step.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct terrestrial ecology surveys and assessments

  • Manage and coordinate projects from planning to delivery

  • Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues

  • Produce clear, accurate ecological reports

  • Support sustainable and nature-positive outcomes


What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Experience in ecological or environmental consultancy

  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in ecology or related subject

  • Strong field skills and understanding of ecological legislation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • UK driving licence and willingness to travel

  • Membership or eligibility for CIEEM

Desirable:

  • Protected species licences (GCN, bat, dormouse)

  • Ornithological or botanical expertise
