About the Role

Ocean to Earth Recruitment is proud to be working on behalf of a well-established, independent planning consultancy to recruit an Associate Planner for their growing Cornwall office.

Our client is a respected planning practice known for providing clear, commercially grounded advice and a highly personalised service. They work across a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, leisure, energy and heritage, supporting clients from private individuals through to national developers.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner who is ready to take the next step in their career, lead projects and play an active role in developing client relationships and the wider business.


The Role

As an Associate Planner, you will take responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of planning work, overseeing projects from inception through to determination and appeal. You will also support junior colleagues and contribute to the strategic growth of the regional office.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage planning projects from start to finish

  • Prepare planning appraisals, applications and appeals

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships

  • Represent clients at committee meetings and appeal hearings

  • Mentor and support junior team members

  • Contribute to business development and profile-raising activity


About You

  • Chartered Town Planner / RTPI Member

  • Broad and strong planning consultancy experience

  • Commercially minded with an understanding of development pressures

  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal

  • Full UK driving licence (exceptions may be considered)
