About the Role

Ocean to Earth Recruitment is working with a well-established environmental consultancy to appoint an Associate Project Manager as part of its continued growth across the UK and Ireland.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced project professional who is looking to take on greater responsibility within a structured consultancy environment, while contributing to meaningful environmental and ecological projects.

The Opportunity

You will join a growing, multidisciplinary team delivering environmental management and consultancy services across a diverse project portfolio.

The role offers a balanced mix of project coordination, client engagement and team oversight, alongside the opportunity to remain connected to field-based activity where relevant. As the organisation continues to expand, there is clear scope to develop into a more senior or leadership position.

The position can be based in Enniskillen or Lisburn, with a hybrid working model in place.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as a primary point of contact for clients and managing relationships effectively
  • Coordinating and delivering a range of environmental and ecological projects
  • Planning and scheduling field surveys, including resource allocation
  • Overseeing project delivery, including budgets, timelines and technical outputs
  • Supporting and mentoring team members
  • Contributing to tender preparation and bid submissions
  • Identifying opportunities to improve project delivery and operational efficiency
  • Managing competing priorities and adapting to changing project requirements

About You

You will bring a structured and commercially aware approach to project delivery, with the confidence to manage both clients and internal teams.

  • Degree qualified in project management or an environmental discipline
  • Consultancy experience within environmental or related sectors
  • Experience in a project management or supervisory capacity
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and make well-informed decisions
  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior staff
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required

Professional membership is advantageous but not essential.

Salary and Benefits

  • £27,000 to £40,000 depending on experience
  • 25 days annual leave, increasing with service, plus public holidays
  • Hybrid working arrangement
  • Paid sick leave
  • Private health insurance
  • Bonus schemes and company pension
  • Paid professional membership fees
  • Ongoing training and development support
  • Flexible and family-friendly policies
  • Additional benefits including cycle to work scheme and gym discounts

Additional Information

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
  • Projects based across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland
  • Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required
