About the Role
Ocean to Earth Recruitment is proud to be supporting a leading civil and structural engineering consultancy in the appointment of Temporary Works Engineers to join their expanding and highly regarded team.
This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with industry experience who are keen to progress their careers, work with a high degree of autonomy, and contribute to the delivery of innovative temporary works solutions across a wide range of civil engineering projects.
The Role
The successful candidates will join a fast-paced and dynamic Temporary Works team within a broader Civil and Structural Engineering group. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality temporary works designs and engineering solutions across multiple sectors within the civil engineering industry.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver temporary works designs in line with agreed scope, budget, and programme

Maintain strong working relationships with Project Managers and clients

Demonstrate commercial awareness and contribute to business development objectives

Manage workloads across multiple projects to optimise utilisation

Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges

Attend site when required to support clients, resolve issues, and develop practical solutions
Qualifications

BEng, MEng, or MSc in Civil Engineering (or other relevant degree)

Actively working towards professional qualification (IEng or CEng) with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)
Experience & Skills

Minimum of 2 years’ relevant industry experience

Strong technical knowledge of temporary works design to BS5975 and Eurocodes

Ability to work independently and use initiative

Ambition to progress professionally and take on increased responsibility

Excellent interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset
