About the Role

At Ocean to Earth Recruitment, we’re delighted to be supporting a leading UK environmental consultancy in the search for a talented Team Leader to join their Wales & West regional team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a strategic leadership role within a purpose-led organisation dedicated to protecting the natural environment and supporting nature’s recovery.

🌱 About the Organisation

Our client is one of the UK's foremost consultancies working at the intersection of ecology, biodiversity, and nature-based solutions. Over the last few years, they’ve undergone a significant transformation – evolving into a vibrant, multi-disciplinary consultancy with biodiversity and environmental resilience at their core.

Now operating under a bold three-year Strategic Development Plan, they are investing in growth, innovation, and exceptional talent – and this hire is key to that journey.

🧭 The Role

As Team Leader, you will lead a regional team of technical specialists, overseeing the successful delivery of consultancy projects while fostering a positive and supportive team culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Team leadership & development – ensuring a collaborative, motivated environment across a geographically dispersed team

  • Project & client management – leading the delivery of high-quality services from bid stage to completion

  • Operational oversight – budget management, resource allocation, and ensuring project quality

  • Business development – supporting growth across the Wales & West portfolio

You’ll work closely with senior leadership to help shape the future of the organisation while ensuring outstanding outcomes for both clients and the natural environment.

🎯 Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an experienced and people-focused professional who is confident leading remote teams and thrives in a consultancy setting.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong experience managing teams and supporting professional growth

  • Background in consultancy – environmental or ecological expertise is beneficial, but not essential

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Solid understanding of project design, delivery, and client relationship management

  • A strategic and proactive mindset, with a genuine passion for environmental impact

🌿 What’s on Offer

This role offers the opportunity to step into a senior, visible position within a fast-growing organisation that truly values its people.

Key benefits include:

  • Salary of £45,000–£50,000, depending on experience

  • 7% employer pension contribution

  • Generous holiday entitlement, rising to 35 days with service (starting at 24 days + bank holidays)

  • Annual bonus scheme (up to 10% of salary)

  • Paid overtime and TOIL

  • Life insurance, employee assistance programme, and wellbeing support

  • Clear path toward Senior Management Team responsibilities

  • Ongoing training and professional development
