About the Role
Our client, a leading geo-environmental consultancy, is seeking a skilled and motivated Geo-environmental Engineer to join their dynamic and growing team. With decades of experience, they are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that meet the highest standards in the industry. Their work spans across a variety of sectors, with a strong commitment to quality, sustainability, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contaminated Land: Including desk studies, site investigations, and risk assessments.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with Scottish environmental regulations and guidelines, with a focus on contaminated land and human health risk assessments.
- Project Management: Oversee and manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality standards.
- Client Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice and regular updates on project progress and outcomes.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse geotechnical and environmental data, preparing detailed technical reports with clear recommendations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across disciplines to provide integrated solutions and contribute to the development of junior team members through mentoring and support.
What We’re Looking For:
- Relevant Experience: Proven experience in geo-environmental engineering, particularly in contaminated land assessment within Scotland.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Scottish environmental regulations, especially related to human health risk assessments.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical skills in geotechnical and environmental data analysis, with proficiency in relevant software.
- Qualifications: Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field. An MSc or equivalent is advantageous.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports and liaise effectively with clients.
- Team Player: A collaborative approach, with a willingness to support and mentor junior team members.
