Ocean to Earth Recruitment is working with a highly regarded environmental consultancy to recruit a Senior Ecology Resourcing & Logistics Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and innovative business where you'll have real influence over how ecological teams are deployed, supported and equipped to deliver outstanding project outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in resource planning, logistics, operations or ecology consultancy who enjoys balancing multiple priorities, building strong working relationships and finding practical solutions to complex challenges.
The Role
As the Senior Ecology Resourcing & Logistics Coordinator, you will sit at the heart of the ecology team, ensuring projects are properly resourced and delivered efficiently.
You'll work closely with Project Managers, Team Leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, coordinating staff schedules, managing equipment logistics and responding to changing project demands. You'll also lead a small team and play an important role in driving improvements to resourcing processes as the business continues to grow.
This is a fast-paced and highly collaborative role where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the allocation of ecological staff across projects and survey programmes.
- Coordinate resource schedules to meet project deadlines and client requirements.
- Manage changing priorities, project updates and staff availability.
- Work closely with Project Managers to understand current and future resource needs.
- Oversee the allocation, maintenance and movement of specialist ecological survey equipment.
- Lead and support a small resourcing and logistics team.
- Produce management information and reporting to support operational planning.
- Build strong relationships across the business to ensure effective collaboration.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and help develop more efficient ways of working.
- Contribute to effective budget management through efficient resource planning.
About You
You will be highly organised, confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders and comfortable making decisions in a fast-moving environment.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in:
- Resource planning and scheduling.
- Logistics or operations coordination.
- Ecology or environmental consultancy.
- Project support or project coordination.
- Workforce planning and resource management.
You will also bring:
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Confidence handling competing priorities and resolving resource conflicts.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach.
- Good judgement and decision-making skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365.
- The ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
Experience within ecology consultancy would be advantageous, but applications are welcomed from individuals with transferable planning, logistics or operations experience.
