About the Role
We're working with an award-winning environmental consultancy looking for a Senior Ecologist to join their growing multidisciplinary team. This is an opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects alongside landscape and arboricultural specialists, helping to deliver sustainable, nature-led solutions across the UK.
The Role
You'll take ownership of ecological projects from start to finish, managing clients, mentoring junior ecologists and delivering high-quality technical work, including:
- Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs)
- Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs)
- Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRAs)
- Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments
- Protected species surveys, licensing and mitigation
- Project management and client liaison
About You
We're keen to hear from experienced ecologists who have:
- Experience delivering and managing ecological projects.
- Strong knowledge of UKHab, EcIA and UK planning legislation.
- Excellent report writing and project management skills.
- Membership of CIEEM, ideally working towards Chartership.
- Protected species licences, although these are not essential.
- A passion for mentoring others and building lasting client relationships.
