About the Role

Ocean to Earth Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a standout boutique landscape studio that’s redefining what high-quality, environmentally conscious design looks like. We’re on the lookout for a Senior or Associate Landscape Planner – someone who brings rigour, creativity, and a touch of the unexpected to every project.

This role is ideal for someone looking to grow within a tight-knit, dynamic studio that punches well above its weight. The projects are stimulating and diverse – think countryside homes, wave parks, brownfield regeneration, and large-scale strategic developments including country parks. There’s real space to make your mark here.

💡 Why This Role?

This is more than a job. It’s an opportunity to work with a company that:

  • Values quality, integrity, and the natural environment

  • Is expanding – with genuine space for career progression

  • Encourages autonomy, but thrives on collaboration

  • Has a strong sense of place, purpose, and people

You’ll be working in an environment where your voice is heard, your work is appreciated, and your growth is supported.

Essential Experience:

  • Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute

  • 4+ years as a Landscape Planner

  • Site appraisals and the ability to develop opportunities/constraints plans

  • Strategic and urban site planning experience

  • Deep knowledge of Green Belt, scenic landscapes, and EIA development

  • Collaborative mindset, including coordination with GIS and visualisation consultants

Desirable Extras:

  • Knowledge of planning policy and tall building assessments

  • Comfortable attending client meetings and coordinating with stakeholders

  • Experience in mentoring junior colleagues

  • Confidence reviewing others’ work as well as your own

  • Commercial awareness and business development acumen

👥 Who You Are

  • A self-starter with natural initiative

  • Collaborative, open-minded and solutions-focused

  • Clear communicator and strong report writer

  • Emotionally intelligent and resilient in fast-moving environments

  • Looking for a team where your growth is as important as your output

  • Competitive salary – aligned with your experience

  • Hybrid working model – with at least 2 team days/month in the Canterbury studio

  • Flexible culture – supportive of families and work/life balance
