About the Role

Ocean to Earth Recruitment is proud to be supporting a leading environmental and arboricultural consultancy in their search for a Senior Arboricultural Consultant to join their growing team in Manchester.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced arboricultural professional to work on a diverse range of projects across planning, development and environmental consultancy. The Role

As a Senior Arboricultural Consultant, you will play a key role in managing and delivering arboricultural consultancy services across a wide variety of projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing projects from initial enquiry and fee proposal through to delivery and client feedback

  • Undertaking BS5837 tree surveys and providing technical advice on planning and development projects

  • Preparing and delivering Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Arboricultural Method Statements

  • Carrying out tree risk assessments

  • Supporting regional teams, including senior leadership and technical specialists

  • Contributing to client relationships, business development and sales activities

  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the arboriculture team

  • Preparing professional reports and technical documentation for clients and planning authorities


About You

To be considered for this position, candidates should demonstrate:

  • At least 4 years’ experience in arboricultural consultancy

  • Experience working with BS5837:2012 planning surveys

  • Level 4 qualification or higher in Arboriculture

  • Experience completing Tree Risk–Benefit Assessments

  • Technical Membership (or higher) of the Arboricultural Association

  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Good organisational, project management and client management abilities

  • A full UK driving licence


Working Arrangement

  • Location: Manchester

  • Hybrid working model with an expectation of approximately two days per week in the office or on site


Salary & Benefits

  • £40,960 – £48,450 per year, depending on experience

  • 4-day working week with full salary (80% time / 100% pay)

  • Annual salary band review
