The successful candidate will become a key member of their Planning team, contributing to medium and large-scale renewable energy and infrastructure developments nationwide. This role offers meaningful project exposure, professional progression, and the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to Ireland’s sustainable future.

The Role

As a Renewable Energy Planner, you will be involved across the full project lifecycle, from early-stage feasibility through to consent and delivery. You will work closely with internal specialists, clients, and external stakeholders, applying your knowledge of the Irish planning system to drive successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing planning inputs on renewable energy and infrastructure projects from inception to completion

  • Undertaking background research, desk studies, and site visits to support planning applications

  • Preparing high-quality planning assessments, reports, and documentation

  • Liaising directly with clients to progress projects and ensure alignment with strategic objectives

  • Engaging with planning authorities and relevant stakeholders

  • Delivering accurate, fit-for-purpose outputs within agreed deadlines, with strong attention to detail

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a motivated and well-organised planner with a solid understanding of the Irish planning system and relevant environmental legislation.

Requirements:

  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning (IPI or RTPI accredited)

  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-graduate planning experience, ideally within a consultancy environment

  • Recent and relevant experience in renewable energy and infrastructure projects

  • Strong report-writing and organisational skills

  • Ability to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment

  • Full, clean driver’s licence

What’s on Offer

Our client offers a supportive, forward-thinking work environment where professional development is genuinely encouraged. You’ll benefit from:

  • A competitive salary and benefits package

  • Ongoing learning and career progression opportunities

  • Exposure to high-profile renewable energy, commercial, and residential developments

  • A collaborative culture that values integrity, ambition, and innovation

Diversity and inclusion are central to our client’s values, and applications are welcomed from candidates of all backgrounds and experiences.
