About the Role
Ocean to Earth Recruitment are proud to be partnering with one of the UK’s leading independent environmental consultancies. With a strong reputation built over three decades, our client is renowned for their expertise across environmental assessment, policy, strategy, design, and innovation. They deliver award-winning solutions across infrastructure, renewable energy, and major development projects – and now, due to a series of exciting project wins, they are looking to expand their team.
The Role
We are seeking a Principal EIA Consultant to play a pivotal role in coordinating environmental inputs for high-profile projects. You’ll be involved from early strategy development through to feasibility, design, planning, and delivery – ensuring environmental considerations are embedded at the heart of development proposals.
Projects will include major infrastructure, renewable energy, and large-scale developments, with opportunities to also contribute to Strategic Environmental Assessments. You will work closely with specialist in-house teams and external stakeholders, taking responsibility for project management, client liaison, fee proposals, and the production of high-quality EIA documentation.

About You
We’re keen to hear from candidates with:

A degree in a relevant environmental discipline (EIA or similar)

Strong knowledge of EIA processes, legislation, and best practice in the UK

Proven experience delivering environmental reports and EIA documentation (screening, scoping, PEIRs, Environmental Statements)

Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills

Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs and manage deadlines effectively

Experience in client-facing roles, stakeholder engagement, and fee proposals

Project management and financial oversight experience

Line management or mentoring of junior team members

Business development or bid support experience
Comparable backgrounds in environmental management, planning or permitting will also be considered.
