About the Role

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Civil Engineer to join a growing Civil & Structural Engineering group at a senior level.

This role is particularly suited to someone who values technical autonomy—you will be trusted to lead, shape, and deliver projects with a high degree of independence, while contributing strategically to the wider direction of the team.

You will play a key role within the management structure, supporting continued growth across the UK and working on a diverse portfolio of complex engineering projects.


The Role

You will take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery, combining hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities.

Key aspects include:

  • Leading the technical delivery of civil engineering projects, including drainage, highways, and infrastructure schemes

  • Acting as a client-facing lead, managing relationships and contributing to bids, tenders, and business development

  • Identifying and developing opportunities across sectors such as energy, defence, and manufacturing

  • Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions

  • Mentoring and supporting the development of junior engineers, helping to build a high-performing team

About You

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (BEng, MEng, MSc or equivalent)

  • Chartered Member of the ICE (or actively working towards chartership)

  • Strong technical background with the ability to lead complex projects independently

  • Confident communicator with experience in client engagement and stakeholder management

  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify new opportunities


Additional Information

  • Travel across the UK (and occasionally overseas) may be required

  • Full UK driving licence is desirable

  • Right to work in the UK is essential
