About the Role

Ocean to Earth Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established, multidisciplinary environmental and planning consultancy in the search for a Senior Landscape Architect to join their growing team.

The Role

Location: Hertfordshire (with flexibility to work from offices in the South East, South West, and North of England, as well as hybrid working)

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Landscape Architect with a passion for landscape planning and design to join a collaborative practice working alongside ecologists, masterplanners, and heritage specialists.

Our client delivers environmentally led, high-quality projects across a broad range of sectors, including renewable energy, strategic development, rewilding, and large-scale residential schemes. The practice is design-led, people-focused, and committed to delivering positive outcomes for communities, landscapes, and nature.

You will be involved in landscape planning, design, and landscape and visual assessment work, contributing to projects from early concept through to delivery. The role offers scope to take increasing responsibility and lead elements of projects, supported by an experienced and friendly team.

About You

The successful candidate will be creative, organised, and keen to develop within a supportive multidisciplinary environment. You will ideally have experience in landscape and visual impact assessment, with some exposure to EIA-related work.

You will demonstrate:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • A good eye for design and attention to detail

  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team of Landscape Architects

  • Confidence managing a varied workload with guidance and support

  • A proactive, hard-working approach and willingness to take on new challenges

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (AutoCAD experience desirable)

  • Chartered or working towards Chartered status with the Landscape Institute (full support provided for Pathway to Chartership)

  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary

  • Flexible working with core hours

  • Hybrid working (up to 2 days per week from home)

  • Performance-related and profit-share bonus scheme

  • 25 days annual leave, increasing with length of service

  • Mobile phone allowance

  • Cycle to work scheme

  • Professional subscription fees paid

  • Employee wellbeing support, including an Employee Assistance Programme

  • Paid overtime for out-of-hours work
