Recruiting on behalf of a leading UK environmental and landscape consultancy

With over 150 specialists working from offices, nationwide expertise across key disciplines including Arboriculture, Ecology, Environmental Planning, GeoSpatial Analysis, Green & Blue Infrastructure, Historic Environment & Archaeology, Landscape Design and Landscape Management.

We are now supporting them in the appointment of a Landscape Management Inspector to join their established Landscape Management Team—home to more than 36 professionals within a Landscape Institute Registered Practice. This role plays a central part in maintaining one of their major portfolios (Homes England), ensuring sites are safe, compliant, and well-managed through thorough inspections and collaborative risk management.

What You’ll Be Doing

Carry out regular site inspections in line with client policy and RICS safety standards Complete risk assessments, allocate appropriate risk ratings, and escalate critical issues Produce detailed reports including photographs, commentary, and prioritised actions Ensure timely follow-up based on risk severity Liaise with clients, contractors, security providers, and maintenance teams Manage relationships with external suppliers and service partners Maintain appropriate PPE and adhere to health and safety procedures Follow company protocols for incident reporting Contribute to continuous improvement through training, reflection, and feedback

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple sites and schedules Clear, confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills Good working knowledge of health & safety legislation relating to land and property management

Qualifications & Experience

We welcome applications from candidates with experience or qualifications in:

Land and estate management Environmental management Facilities management

Desirable:

Health and safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH Construction or Fire Safety) Professional memberships such as Landscape Institute, RICS, or IOSH

Key Attributes

Strong leadership skills in delivering complex projects Thorough understanding of legislation relating to land and property health & safety and environmental management Proven project management capability with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Experience mentoring or managing team members Confident communication and presentation abilities Practical on-site experience, including contractor liaison Consistent, professional client-facing advice Full UK driving licence Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Self-motivated with a genuine interest in business development Ability to prioritise workload, manage deadlines, and deliver within budget High attention to detail and sound professional judgement Ability to represent the organisation confidently at project meetings and consultations A collaborative team player with the ability to motivate and support colleagues Adaptable, innovative, and proactive
