🌿 Environmental Management | Conservation & Wildlife | Ecology

Are you passionate about protecting the environment? Do you have a natural ability to build relationships, sell ideas, and connect with people in a meaningful, engaging way? If you're looking to take your environmental career to the next level, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

At Ocean to Earth Recruitment, we’re excited to be hiring on behalf of one of our valued clients — a forward-thinking, employee-owned business that leads the way in invasive plant management and environmental consultancy. This is your chance to become part of a close-knit, positive, and empowered team where your voice matters and your growth is a priority.

🌱 About the Role:

As an Invasive Plant Consultant, you’ll be the face of expert advice — delivering on-site assessments and clear, professional reports that help clients tackle invasive plant problems with confidence. With flexibility to work from home, you’ll cover sites within about a 2-hour radius of Watford, bringing your friendly, people-focused approach to a range of interesting environments and clients.

This is a role for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys being out in the field, and feels comfortable explaining complex issues in an engaging, accessible way.

💼 Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify invasive plant species in the field and assess their impact on various sites

  • Prepare detailed management plans with clear technical recommendations and costings

  • Support clients through the decision-making process, offering clarity and reassurance

  • Follow up on proposals to secure work and meet agreed sales targets

  • Deliver webinars, attend networking events, and support marketing initiatives

  • Build strong relationships with surveyors, estate agents, and other professionals to generate repeat business

🧠 What We’re Looking For:

  • A genuine passion for the environment and an interest in plants

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities

  • Clear, confident communication skills — both written and verbal

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365

  • Confidence in meeting people, assessing client needs, and presenting tailored solutions

  • Knowledge of landscaping, construction plant, or waste disposal is a bonus

  • Previous experience in a similar field-based consultancy role is desirable but not essential

More than anything, we’re looking for the right person — someone motivated, proactive, and eager to grow.

🎁 What’s in it for You:

  • £30,000 salary (DOE)

  • 37.5-hour contract

  • 31 days holiday (including bank holidays & Christmas shutdown)

  • Flexible and remote working options

  • Company car

  • Enhanced sick pay & life insurance

  • Employee Ownership Profit Share Scheme

  • Company events, perks, and a genuinely supportive team culture
