About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant or Senior Ecologist to play a leading role in delivering a wide range of projects, developing strong client relationships, and mentoring colleagues. You will be part of a close-knit and knowledgeable team, helping to maintain and grow a reputation for excellence in ecological consultancy.

While the role is based in London, applications are encouraged from across the UK, with flexible and hybrid working options available for the right candidate.


Essential Requirements

  • Degree in ecology or related discipline

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ecology, including project and line management

  • Developing field skills in line with the CIEEM Competency Framework

  • In-depth understanding of environmental legislation and policy

  • Strong report writing, IT, and report review experience

  • Full driving licence

  • CIEEM membership at an appropriate level

  • GIS and database management skills

  • Experience in client relationship building

  • Experience in Ecological Impact Assessments


Desirable Skills

  • Postgraduate qualification in ecology or related field

  • Protected species licences (e.g., bats, GCN)

  • Specialism in ornithology, bats, or other protected species/groups

  • Recent EPS licence holder

  • Skills in habitat creation and enhancement

  • Experience with Environmental Impact Assessments
