About the Role

Ocean to Earth Recruitment is working with a growing specialist geo-environmental consultancy in Glasgow that is looking for a CAD & Validation Support Assistant to join its expanding team.

This is a particularly good opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who wants more than simply a CAD role. You will receive full training and gain exposure to geo-environmental, remediation and validation projects, with the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge, take on increasing responsibility and progress rapidly as your experience grows.

The Role

Working closely with technical and project management colleagues, you will provide CAD, validation and project administration support across a varied portfolio of projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Producing, amending and maintaining 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD
• Preparing site layouts, venting plans, membrane details and validation sketches
• Updating drawings following site information and engineer feedback
• Maintaining drawing records and project files
• Assisting with the preparation and formatting of validation reports
• Compiling site inspection records, photographs and supporting documentation
• Maintaining project trackers and validation databases
• Coordinating site inspections and appointments
• Supporting project managers with document control and report administration
• Handling project correspondence, emails and telephone enquiries

What We’re Looking For

You will ideally have:

• Experience using AutoCAD to produce 2D technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Confident written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• The ability to manage several tasks and work effectively to deadlines

Previous experience within construction, engineering, surveying, environmental or geo-environmental consultancy would be beneficial, but it is not essential.

More importantly, this opportunity would suit someone who is technically minded, keen to learn and looking for a company where they can develop a long-term career.

Salary & Benefits

Starting salary: £24,201

You will also receive:

• 28 days' annual leave, including public holidays
• Company pension scheme
• Full training and ongoing support
• Strong opportunities for professional development and rapid career progression
• Exposure to geo-environmental, remediation and validation projects
• Free on-site parking
• Company social events
• Supportive team environment
• Employee Assistance Programme, where applicable

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time, permanent, office-based position in Glasgow, working 37.45 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
