Working across a diverse portfolio of urban and rural projects, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality landscape planning services while helping clients navigate complex planning and environmental challenges.

The Opportunity

As an Associate Landscape Architect, you will lead the delivery of landscape planning projects from initial feasibility through to planning submission and beyond. Alongside project delivery, you will have the opportunity to contribute to wider business initiatives, support team development and play an active role in shaping the future direction of the practice.

About You

Ideally, you will have:

  • A degree in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline
  • A minimum of six years' relevant experience
  • Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute (CMLI), or be working towards chartership
  • Strong LVIA and LVA experience
  • Experience contributing to Environmental Impact Assessments
  • A solid understanding of planning policy and environmental legislation
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills
  • Proven project management experience, delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Experience working with clients, local planning authorities and statutory consultees
  • Business development experience and a track record of winning work
  • A full UK driving licence

Additional experience in expert witness services would be advantageous but is not essential.

Why Apply?

This consultancy has built a reputation for combining technical excellence with a genuinely supportive and people-focused culture.

Benefits include:

  • Four-day working week with full-time salary
  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements
  • Varied and high-profile landscape planning projects
  • Collaborative multidisciplinary working with ecology, arboriculture and environmental specialists
  • Strong emphasis on professional development and career progression
  • Opportunity to mentor and develop junior colleagues
  • Inclusive and supportive working culture
  • Meaningful work contributing to biodiversity enhancement, climate resilience and sustainable development
