About the Role

Are you an experienced ecologist ready to advance your career? Join our client's Leeds-based Ecology team, where you’ll help businesses achieve Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), conduct protected species surveys, and provide ecological licensing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead ecological surveys and mitigation strategies.

  • Conduct Phase 1/UK Habs habitat surveys and protected species assessments.

  • Produce reports including PEAs and EcIAs.

  • Mentor junior team members.

  • Provide expert ecological advice and maintain client relationships.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field.

  • 4+ years in ecological consultancy.

  • Strong field skills and expertise in protected species and habitat surveys.

  • Knowledge of UK ecological legislation and planning policy.

  • CIEEM membership (or working towards it).

  • Full UK driving licence.
