About the Role

Our client is a multi-award-winning, independent, and well-respected Bristol-based consultancy. The Opportunity
Due to a steadily increasing order book, our client is seeking an ecologist to join their friendly team. They are looking for individuals with a strong understanding of terrestrial habitats and protected species survey techniques, coupled with excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Professionals with previous or current experience are invited to apply.

Key Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience managing projects and preparing reports
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • An appropriate degree/professional qualification(s)
  • Membership of CIEEM
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • A full UK driving licence

Core Responsibilities
The role will involve:

  • Conducting baseline ecological habitat surveys
  • Carrying out protected species surveys
  • Liaising and working with specialist sub-consultants as needed
  • Preparing reports and managing data to support site and survey work

Desirable Skills and Qualifications
It would be beneficial if the candidate holds:

  • One or more protected species licences
  • A CSCS Card
