What You'll Be Doing
You'll lead a diverse range of arboricultural projects, providing trusted advice to clients, planners and multidisciplinary design teams throughout the planning process.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing Arboricultural Impact Assessments, Arboricultural Method Statements and Tree Protection Plans in accordance with BS5837:2012.
- Undertaking tree surveys and advising on retention, protection and mitigation strategies.
- Supporting planning applications through clear, well-reasoned and technically robust reporting.
- Working closely with ecologists, landscape architects and project teams to deliver integrated environmental solutions.
- Building strong relationships with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders.
- Managing projects from initial instruction through to completion, ensuring quality, programme and commercial objectives are achieved.
- Providing technical guidance and sharing knowledge with colleagues where appropriate.
About You
You're passionate about arboriculture and understand the important role trees play in shaping sustainable places.
You'll probably bring:
- Experience working as a Senior Arboricultural Consultant within a consultancy environment.
- A strong understanding of BS5837:2012, Tree Preservation Orders and UK planning legislation.
- Confidence producing high-quality technical reports that support planning applications.
- An arboricultural qualification at Level 4 or above.
- Membership of the Arboricultural Association, Institute of Chartered Foresters or a similar professional body would be welcomed.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to manage your own workload and build trusted client relationships.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to undertake site visits as required.
