About the Role

Consultant / Senior Landscape Manager

The Opportunity

If you're an experienced landscape professional who enjoys combining site-based work with client relationships and long-term land stewardship, this could be an opportunity worth exploring.

Perhaps you're looking for more variety, greater autonomy, or the chance to work across a large and diverse land portfolio while being part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful projects, influence how land is managed, and continue developing your career within a supportive environment that genuinely invests in its people.

Whether you're already chartered or working towards chartership, you'll find the support, mentoring and flexibility to help you progress.

The Company

Our client is an established environmental consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering practical, sustainable solutions across the UK. Their multidisciplinary teams work collaboratively across landscape, ecology, arboriculture, planning and environmental services, providing trusted advice to public and private sector clients.

People are encouraged to develop their expertise, share knowledge and build long-term careers within a culture that values collaboration, flexibility and professional growth.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll become an integral part of the Land Management team, helping to oversee a diverse portfolio of land and property assets across the UK.

Your work will include:

  • Managing a varied portfolio including development land, woodland and vacant property.

  • Carrying out inspections, identifying risks and recommending practical management solutions.

  • Procuring and administering landscape maintenance and land management contracts from appointment through to completion.

  • Reviewing contractor RAMS and ensuring work is delivered safely and in line with current legislation.

  • Providing trusted landscape management advice and developing management plans where required.

  • Building strong working relationships with clients, contractors and other stakeholders.

  • Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues, helping develop technical capability across the team.

The role includes regular travel to project sites throughout the UK, with occasional overnight stays when required.

About You

You'll already have experience in landscape management, estate management or a related consultancy environment and enjoy balancing technical work with client interaction.

You'll be someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple projects, with the confidence to make informed decisions and build lasting relationships.

You'll ideally have:

  • Around two years' experience or more within landscape or land management.

  • Chartered status or be actively working towards chartership.

  • Experience administering contracts and procuring landscape or land management services.

  • A good understanding of health and safety legislation relating to land and property management.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • A full UK driving licence.

What's on Offer

Alongside a competitive salary, you'll benefit from:

  • Flexible and hybrid working.

  • A supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team.

  • Structured mentoring and support towards professional development.

  • Opportunities to work on large-scale, varied land management projects across the UK.

  • Clear opportunities for career progression.

  • Professional memberships, ongoing training and continued technical development.

  • A comprehensive employee benefits package.

Location & Flexibility

This role can be based from either the Warrington or Gateshead office, with hybrid working available. Regular travel to sites across the UK forms part of the role, with occasional overnight stays where projects require.
