About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior professional looking to step into an Associate/Technical Director role. You’ll have the chance to work on a varied workload, help shape the future of the Glasgow office, and play a key role in mentoring the next generation of engineers.

Our client is an award-winning multidisciplinary practice committed to sustainable solutions that are carefully planned, well executed, and stand the test of time. Their flexible, client-focused approach ensures tailored design and service for each project, supported by clear communication, cost control, and timely delivery.

About the Role
The Glasgow office is a small, close-knit team of professionals working across civil engineering, landscape architecture, and planning. This role offers the chance to lead and manage a variety of projects, while helping to develop the office and its junior staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a wide range of civil engineering projects, with a strong focus on Active Travel, Streetscape, and Town Centre schemes.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior and graduate engineers to foster their professional development.
  • Collaborating across disciplines within the office to deliver innovative and high-quality outcomes.
  • Playing a key role in the growth and development of the Glasgow office, driving project success and team performance.

Who We’re Looking For

  • An experienced civil engineer with a background in roads, drainage, and earthworks, ideally with 7+ years of experience.
  • A confident leader, able to manage projects and guide junior team members.
  • Someone with a strong technical skillset who can take initiative and ensure project delivery to a high standard.
  • A team player who will fit well within a small, collaborative office environment.

About Our Client
Our client is an award-winning multidisciplinary practice committed to sustainable solutions that are carefully planned, well executed, and stand the test of time. Their flexible, client-focused approach ensures tailored design and service for each project, supported by clear communication, cost control, and timely delivery.

Working Arrangements
Our client offers hybrid and flexible working, but due to the importance of face-to-face collaboration—particularly for the development of graduate staff—a minimum of 3 days in the office each week is expected.
