The Role:

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our client's Ecology team at various levels, including Assistant Ecologist, Ecologist, and Senior Ecologist. The successful candidates will work on a diverse range of projects, contributing to ecological assessments, habitat management plans, and biodiversity strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ecological surveys and assessments.
  • Prepare technical reports and habitat management plans.
  • Provide ecological input into landscape design and planning applications.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Mentor junior team members (for Senior Ecologist position).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in ecological consultancy or a related sector.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIEEM) is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and ecological survey methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • A valid UK driving license.
