About the Role

A leading environmental and design practice specializing in landscape, ecology, and arboriculture is seeking experienced Arboricultural Surveyors (all levels) to deliver Health and Safety tree inspections for public and private sector clients. The Role

The successful candidates will perform tree inspections and support risk management for tree stocks owned by public and private sector clients. The role requires proficiency in using handheld ArcGIS Pro and CAD technology to deliver accurate and effective solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Health and Safety tree inspections for public and privately owned tree stock using handheld ArcGIS Pro and CAD technology.
  • Identify tree works and provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Respond to client queries and build strong professional relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with British Standards and relevant legislation, delivering consistently high standards.
  • Prepare and follow risk assessments and methodologies, prioritizing Health and Safety in all tasks.

Essential Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Experience working in an arboricultural environment, including tree inspections and risk assessments.
  • A formal arboricultural qualification or equivalent experience, with a willingness to undertake further relevant training.
  • Experience liaising with clients and attending meetings.
  • Competence in IT, including handheld technology, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
  • Flexibility to work at various locations, with time in the office as required.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, clients, and local authority officers.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience using CAD software.
  • Proficiency in GIS technology.
  • Knowledge of Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs), relevant legislation, and the planning system.
