With a reputation for innovation, quality, and pragmatic environmental solutions, our client offers a broad range of services including arboriculture, terrestrial and freshwater ecology, hydrology, marine biology, GIS and mapping, habitat management, and environmental impact assessments.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and skilled Arboricultural Consultant to join a growing team of experts working across a wide variety of exciting and meaningful projects. From private homeowner support to major national infrastructure schemes, no two days will be the same.

The Role
You’ll be involved in a range of arboricultural work—conducting site surveys, producing detailed reports, and liaising directly with clients to deliver high-quality outcomes. You’ll also work closely with specialists across other disciplines, making collaboration a key part of the role.

With offices strategically placed throughout the UK, this position involves travel to project sites nationwide, along with occasional overnight stays. Our client supports flexible, hybrid working from any of their six office hubs in Guildford, Kenilworth, Leeds, Cardiff, Manchester, or Ipswich.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out tree surveys and assessments in accordance with BS5837:2012

  • Producing Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Method Statements

  • Engaging with clients and stakeholders to deliver expert advice

  • Contributing to a range of diverse environmental consultancy projects

About You:

  • A Level 4 qualification in Arboriculture (or working towards it)

  • Demonstrated experience in tree surveys within a consultancy or commercial context

  • Proficient in Visual Tree Assessment (VTA)

  • Strong report writing and client communication skills

  • Familiarity with tools such as THREATS, CAVAT, TEMPO, RAVEN, and iTree is beneficial

  • Proficiency in MS Office, GIS/CAD systems, and tree survey software

  • A collaborative and proactive approach to work

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car insured for business use
